Our journey began in a deeply personal way. After the tragic passing of a close family member, we found ourselves rethinking everything. We stopped putting off travel for “someday” and decided to embrace it while we still could — even while working full time. That change of mindset transformed our lives. With each cruise, we didn’t just explore new places — we reconnected, grew closer, and rediscovered joy together.
As we cruised more often, friends and family started reaching out with questions. How did we book? What cruise line was best? What should they expect? We realized we could save people the stress of figuring it all out and instead offer them the gift of a vacation they didn’t have to worry about. That’s how Shields Travel began.
Shields Travel is a true partnership. Jerry is a registered travel advisor with Nexion Canada since 2019, and handles vendor coordination, payments, and all the fine details of the booking process. Jill brings warmth, enthusiasm, and insight, helping clients talk through their vacation dreams and understand what kind of experience they’re really looking for.
Together, we blend technical expertise with a personal touch. Jerry’s the numbers and logistics guy. Jill is the people person. It’s a perfect combination — and our clients feel it.

Our first Northern Europe cruise was life-changing.
